Community Service with HIPS

Their mission: HIPS promotes the health, rights, and dignity of individuals and communities impacted by sexual exchange and/or drug use due to choice, coercion, or circumstance. HIPS provides compassionate harm reduction services, advocacy, and community engagement that is respectful, non-judgmental, and affirms and honors individual power and agency.

Annual MeetingSunday, May 16th, 2026 at 10am; Location Caren Mofidi’s home Join us for the club’s annual meeting! The annual meeting is part business meeting to go over the clubs affairs and plan for the next year, and part social affair (light snacks and mingling). We host it in May in honor of May Day. We will provide snacks and drinks. So we can ensure coverage for the event, please RSVP before May 14. The home is four blocks from the elevator entrance of the Woodley Park Metro stop. Playing with Language at Planet WordSaturday, June 21, 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM Join the Bryn Mawr Club of DC for a group exploration of Planet Word, the only museum in the country dedicated to renewing and inspiring a love of words and language. We will start with a group orientation, and then break up into smaller groups to enjoy the space. This event is open to Mawrters and their families, and registration goes to cover the cost of group admission. It is $15 for anyone over the age of 2. Please register before June 5, as we have to give our total group numbers to the museum in advance. |
